Have you heard of the relatively new creative process called manifesting? Here we will discuss this concept and ask the question can people learn abundance. All around us there is abundance and manifesting is about embracing that fact. When you are getting everything possible out of life and not merely surviving, you are living in abundance. This can seem difficult because many times the people in your life have lower expectations of you. There is a highly adaptable set of techniques which means this process can be tailored to fit just about anybody’s needs.

Think of manifesting as a new life philosophy, particularly if you are new to the idea. This is better than believing it to be a series of techniques or self-help tips. What boils is down to is this, manifesting means achieving all of your professional and personal goals in spite of the confusing times.

There is no question that life seems unmanageable and overwhelming to many. Our dreams appear to be completely out of reach and hopes have lost their luster. Many people compromise when they choose a path in life. Life is full of choices and we must often make concessions. But, we still must persist and strive to achieve our heart’s desires. Thomas Edison was a man who understood the importance of persistence. Had he not kept his focus squarely on achieving his dream of creating light, we might still be seeing my candle light.

There is no question that in order to survive we must work and pay our bills. However, the huge advances in technology in recent decades have driven us toward greater and greater specialization. We are becoming a society of small fragments and ‘niches’. We are so focused on minutiae we have lost our ability to dream.

Is it possible to change our thinking?

As noted earlier, manifesting is a process and it begins with asking ourselves what it is we want to manifest in our lives. This is not always easily answered. First, we must assess our lives and ourselves honestly. Are we doing what we want to be doing? Or are we just doing what we think we’re supposed to do, or what is expected of us? If you find that you are doing only what you think you need to do or have to do, then it is time to make a change, particularly in your outlook.

People are confused in this modern life because what we truly want to do has been replaced by focusing on what we should do. Not living the life, you originally envisioned leads to a sea of confusion and chaos where survival is the only goal. This is no way to truly live and manifestation is a simple tool that can be your ticket out of the fog of confusion.

Manifestation at its root can be a clarifier, and if we ever needed clarification, it is in the time we currently live in. From simple tasks all the way to major life, decisions there are plenty of opportunities to be confused. You take a trip to the grocery store and what do you find hundreds of cereal options. Start college and there are about a thousand potential majors you are asked to choose among. Leave college with a hard-earned degree and face hundreds of thousands of jobs or careers.

It is no wonder that Americans get bogged down and don’t take the time to ask themselves the important questions. They are quickly lured into shifting their focus to making as much money as they can, assuming that everything else will fall in to place in the future. It is sad to say, that many wake up years later to discover that money has not provided the satisfaction that they had envisioned. They feel unfulfilled and empty.

It is important to know what it is you want, but it is also important to have confidence that you can manifest your goals. Thinking positively and believing that anything you desire to do is possible is essential to making it happen in your life. It doesn’t really matter whether you’re talking about your professional life or your personal life. What does matter is eliminating our negative thought patterns and focusing instead on the positive. The truth is, that the more we focus on our failures the harder it is to see our dreams and the more difficult it becomes to obtain them.

The process of manifesting is very simple.

*Decide what it is that you truly want out of all aspects of your life, professionally and personally.

*Maintain a positive outlook by focusing on your success.

*Take steps to bring your dreams to reality. Take the risks necessary to make them happen.

These methods contain a simple message in the end and that is you should never be satisfied with the status quo. We again borrow from the great Thomas Edison who believed a satisfied man was a man who had failed. Edison knew that the human being had to constantly be striving to fulfill their goals. He not only said it, he lived it his entire life. He understood too that life has ups and downs, success and failure, as well as agony and joy. Satisfaction, to his mind, was just another word for indifference. Edison strived his entire life for more and so you should as well.
