Manifesting abundance in our lives is a concept that has grown in popularity recently. Perhaps you are wondering if it is really possible to learn abundance thinking. Or you may think the creative process known as manifesting is a bit of a mystery. But manifesting is really a simple concept. It is about accepting that life has more than enough for everyone. Believing in abundance means that we do not need to just live to survive but that we can have much more. There are no step-by-step guidelines for manifesting and this is both the beauty and the challenge.
If you have never heard of manifesting, it might be helpful to think of it as an outlook on life or a philosophy of life, rather than a step-by-step process used by most self-help directives. Simply put, manifesting helps us to discover and achieve goals and dreams, both professional and personal.
Life seems overwhelming to many of us. Our dreams appear to be unobtainable. The hopes of our child lie like dust in the corner of our hearts. Too early in life, many people follow a path that is not their true desire and compromise too often in their life choices. Life is full of choices and sometimes we cannot have what we want. But persistence pays off in the end. All the great people of the world held on to their dreams until they came to fruition. Think of Thomas Edison. Had he not been obsessed with his search for light, we might still be living in the dark.
There is no question that in order to survive we must work and pay our bills. However, the huge advances in technology in recent decades have driven us toward greater and greater specialization. We are becoming a society of small fragments and ‘niches’. We are so focused on minutiae we have lost our ability to dream.
Is finding abundance possible?
As noted earlier, manifesting is a process and it begins with asking ourselves what it is we want to manifest in our lives. This is not always easily answered. First, we must assess our lives and ourselves honestly. Are we doing what we want to be doing? Or are we just doing what we think we’re supposed to do, or what is expected of us? If you find that you are doing only what you think you need to do or have to do, then it is time to make a change, particularly in your outlook.
Modern life is so confusing many times, because we as people are pursuing only what we need and forgetting about what we truly want. When you are not living the life of your desires, it is easy to become lost in chaos and confusion. Survival becomes the only goal and you do not truly live. The simple path out of this cloud of confusion is manifesting.
Manifestation at its root can be a clarifier, and if we ever needed clarification, it is in the time we currently live in. From simple tasks all the way to major life, decisions there are plenty of opportunities to be confused. You take a trip to the grocery store and what do you find hundreds of cereal options. Start college and there are about a thousand potential majors you are asked to choose among. Leave college with a hard-earned degree and face hundreds of thousands of jobs or careers.
A common choice that many Americans make when faced with these overwhelming career options, is to just try to make as much money as possible in what they choose to do. They think that if they do that, everything else will take care of itself in time. But it will not and most end up realizing this much later in life after much time has been wasted. Money does not equal fulfillment. It may satisfy your needs for a time, but sooner or later it will leave you feeling empty and looking for something else.
A big part of manifesting are confidence and positive thinking, as they are for many areas of life. Knowing what you want in your mind is not enough; it must be followed by a gut level belief that you can achieve any goal. Personal or professional it does not matter; the idea is to believe you can have whatever you set your mind towards. Would you like to make this easier on yourself? Keep out the negative thought processes, accentuate the positive and completely forget the negative! Concentrating on where you have missed the mark or been defeated is counterproductive to success. In fact, it will cloud your vision until you can no longer see your dreams or goals at all.
The process of manifesting is very simple.
*Decide what it is that you truly want out of all aspects of your life, professionally and personally.
*Think positively and focus only on your successes
*Act- Speculating about your future plans and goals is pretty simple. Somewhere along the way, you are going to have to knuckle down and take a few risks.
Our man Thomas Edison said ‘Show me a thoroughly satisfied man and I will show you a failure’. He understood that dreams take work; that being satisfied with what is would never lead us to accomplishing our dreams and creating the life we long to live. He also understood that it is not always a straight and easy path but one often filled with failure as well as success, pain as well as joy. In the end all that really matters is persistence and hope.
