Abundance FAQ's
It is very difficult for most of us to understand and accept the concept of abundance in our own lives. We see it in others, but we don't think it applies to us. Or, we may not understand how to make it happen for ourselves. In this article we will talk about the process called 'manifesting'. It is a creative process that opens up the possibility of abundance in everyone's life. There are guidelines for manifesting, but each individual's journey along the path towards abundance is unique.
If you are new to manifesting you may want to think of this as a life philosophy instead of a simple self-help series. To put it simply manifesting is about reaching all of your personal and professional goals in the strange times we live in.
Sadly, too often in this age people settle for less than what they want excessively early in life. Setbacks bring discouragement and before you know it, they have given up on all of their dreams and ambitions. Dreams become the stuff of fairy tales and are written off as unobtainable. Life may make you choose some compromises, but stubborn pigheadedness when it comes to your goals can pay off. Just look at an example from history, Thomas Edison. You may remember he is the man who gave us light, but did you know it took him a thousand tries or more? Where would we be today if he had not persisted?
Everyone must be realistic and understand we have to live in this modern world. People are required to work hard, follow the rules and pay the bills. Nevertheless, this society has become so fragmented that dreams are hard to keep a hold of. Everyone is expected to have just one area of expertise.
Can we really change the way we think?
As noted earlier, manifesting is a process and it begins with asking ourselves what it is we want to manifest in our lives. This is not always easily answered. First, we must assess our lives and ourselves honestly. Are we doing what we want to be doing? Or are we just doing what we think we're supposed to do, or what is expected of us? If you find that you are doing only what you think you need to do or have to do, then it is time to make a change, particularly in your outlook.
Life seems chaotic and confusing to so many of us these days. We put our energy every day into all those things we think we have to do, or need to do. We get bogged down in the mundane and lost in the chaos. Before long we are merely surviving as we have forgotten how to live. Manifestation can be the tool you need to pull yourself from the chaos.
Manifestation at its root can be a clarifier, and if we ever needed clarification, it is in the time we currently live in. From simple tasks all the way to major life, decisions there are plenty of opportunities to be confused. You take a trip to the grocery store and what do you find hundreds of cereal options. Start college and there are about a thousand potential majors you are asked to choose among. Leave college with a hard-earned degree and face hundreds of thousands of jobs or careers.
It is no wonder that Americans get bogged down and don't take the time to ask themselves the important questions. They are quickly lured into shifting their focus to making as much money as they can, assuming that everything else will fall in to place in the future. It is sad to say, that many wake up years later to discover that money has not provided the satisfaction that they had envisioned. They feel unfulfilled and empty.
It is important to know what it is you want, but it is also important to have confidence that you can manifest your goals. Thinking positively and believing that anything you desire to do is possible is essential to making it happen in your life. It doesn't really matter whether you're talking about your professional life or your personal life. What does matter is eliminating our negative thought patterns and focusing instead on the positive. The truth is, that the more we focus on our failures the harder it is to see our dreams and the more difficult it becomes to obtain them.
These are the simple steps in the manifesting process:
*Decide exactly what you want, personally and professionally.
*Put your attention on your objective and keep a positive mind-set. Think only of your accomplishments.
*Act- Speculating about your future plans and goals is pretty simple. Somewhere along the way, you are going to have to knuckle down and take a few risks.
When you sum it all up there is a simple message contained in these techniques, you cannot be satisfied with the way things are. To again go back to Thomas Edison, he commented once, 'Show me a satisfied man and I will show you a failure.' You see Edison knew something that many people still do not; you have to strive to make dreams come true. His life was a living testament to this fact. He had figured out some key truths about life, that is it full of pain and joy, failure and success and satisfaction is just another way to give up. He continually pushed for success and so should you.
