Is Abundance Dangerous?
Learning to see and accept the abundance that exists every day requires participation in the creative process that is called manifesting. That may sound a bit like mumbo jumbo to those who have not heard of this relatively new technique, but it is a technique being used every day that teaches us to embrace all the world has to offer. It is not necessary to 'settle' in life or to simply 'get by'. We don't have to live according to what others expect of us. By embracing the concept that the world has more than enough for everyone, and open ourselves to what's right in front of us, we can manifest abundance in our own lives every day.
If you are new to the concept of manifesting it may help you to think of it as a way of thinking and a way of living rather than a set of techniques to follow as most self-help manuals provide. Manifesting is about finding our way through the maze of these difficult times to take hold of our own lives and goals.
Life seems overwhelming to many of us. Our dreams appear to be unobtainable. The hopes of our child lie like dust in the corner of our hearts. Too early in life, many people follow a path that is not their true desire and compromise too often in their life choices. Life is full of choices and sometimes we cannot have what we want. But persistence pays off in the end. All the great people of the world held on to their dreams until they came to fruition. Think of Thomas Edison. Had he not been obsessed with his search for light, we might still be living in the dark.
It is necessary to work hard, pay the bills and live by society's rules. But we have let the complications of a technological world cause us to become fragmented and overwhelmed. We live in a society that has become more and more specialized. We are expected to focus harder on the narrower aspects of our world. Our dreams are easily lost in this environment.
How can we understand abundance thinking?
To understand manifesting is to understand that it is a process. It is a process that begins by asking yourself very honestly, what you want. Looking at your life and circumstances is never easy but by taking it one step at a time it is possible. Are you doing what you want to do with your life? Or are you doing what you think you're supposed to be doing? If the answer is the later, it may be time to make a change.
Life seems chaotic and confusing to so many of us these days. We put our energy every day into all those things we think we have to do, or need to do. We get bogged down in the mundane and lost in the chaos. Before long we are merely surviving as we have forgotten how to live. Manifestation can be the tool you need to pull yourself from the chaos.
The modern age begs for clarification and manifesting is the tool that can help clarify many things in life. You may be asking why this world is suddenly so confusing. It is in the vast number of choices you are asked to make, sometimes daily. Picture your favorite supermarket; now wander down the cereal aisle. There are literally a hundred different kinds of breakfast to choose from. Next, you go off to college only to again be confronted with thousands of majors to choose from and once you graduate the myriad of choices continue, as there are about a thousand professions, jobs or careers you qualify for.
Too often Americans refuse or fail to ask these questions and their future is in peril. Most will set their focus on making more and more money assuming that all the other things will take care of themselves. Sadly, later in life they will find that money was not the cure all for the problem. In fact, they are not satisfied or fulfilled in the least. Money many times will only satisfy the needs of others in your life, leaving you feeling drained and wanting something more.
Confidence and positive thinking are a huge part of manifesting, just as they are with most things in life. You must have more than just knowledge of what you want; deep inside you should believe that you could have whatever your goal is. It does not matter whether you are talking about professional or personal happiness and goals the key ingredient is belief. To achieve this you must annihilate all negative thoughts. Make the song ‘accentuate the positive... eliminate the negative' your new mantra. The bottom line is this the more time you spend concentrating on the defeats and failures the harder it is to see your dreams and reach your goals.
Manifesting is an easy process.
*Decide what it is that you truly want out of all aspects of your life, professionally and personally.
*Keep a positive perspective and center your attention on your successes.
*Act Accordingly- Sitting around and thinking about your future is simple but at some point, you are going to have to actually move in the direction of your goals, which may mean taking a risk.
When you sum it all up there is a simple message contained in these techniques, you cannot be satisfied with the way things are. To again go back to Thomas Edison, he commented once, 'Show me a satisfied man and I will show you a failure.' You see Edison knew something that many people still do not; you have to strive to make dreams come true. His life was a living testament to this fact. He had figured out some key truths about life, that is it full of pain and joy, failure and success and satisfaction is just another way to give up. He continually pushed for success and so should you.
