Is Abundance Teachable?
Learning to see and accept the abundance that exists every day requires participation in the creative process that is called manifesting. That may sound a bit like mumbo jumbo to those who have not heard of this relatively new technique, but it is a technique being used every day that teaches us to embrace all the world has to offer. It is not necessary to 'settle' in life or to simply 'get by'. We don't have to live according to what others expect of us. By embracing the concept that the world has more than enough for everyone, and open ourselves to what's right in front of us, we can manifest abundance in our own lives every day.
Think of manifesting as a new life philosophy, particularly if you are new to the idea. This is better than believing it to be a series of techniques or self-help tips. What boils is down to is this, manifesting means achieving all of your professional and personal goals in spite of the confusing times.
Far too often people settle for what they don't really want. Very early in life they make decisions that are not based on the dreams and goals. When they encounter obstacles they become discouraged and begin to relinquish their childhood hopes and dreams. Life is full of difficulties and compromise is often essential, but compromise does not mean you cannot continue to work toward the fulfillment of your dreams and manifest your hopes and aspirations. Persistence is required. Thomas Edison, the founder of the light bulb, would not have achieved his goals with stubborn, persistence. We might still be living in the dark!
There is no question that in order to survive we must work and pay our bills. However, the huge advances in technology in recent decades have driven us toward greater and greater specialization. We are becoming a society of small fragments and 'niches'. We are so focused on minutiae we have lost our ability to dream.
How can we understand abundance thinking?
In order to understand manifesting, you must realize and accept that it is a process, a course of action. You can begin this process today by asking yourself, 'What do I really want?' It's not always easy to dive beneath the surface of everyday life to find the answer to this question. But if you put aside your immediate concerns and really listen to yourself and your heart, you will discover the answer. Are you doing what you want to do or what you think you have to do? It may take some time to find the answer, but your persistence will pay off.
People are confused in this modern life because what we truly want to do has been replaced by focusing on what we should do. Not living the life, you originally envisioned leads to a sea of confusion and chaos where survival is the only goal. This is no way to truly live and manifestation is a simple tool that can be your ticket out of the fog of confusion.
Manifestation can help us see things more clearly. In the maze and confusion of modern life we all could use clarification. After all we spend our days going to grocery stores that offer us hundreds of options. It is not a choice between three kinds of cereals, but hundreds. In college we must not only choose from hundreds of majors, we must choose specialties as well. And when we finally get our degree we find ourselves facing more career choices than our brain can filter through.
It easy for all of us to lose our way and avoid asking ourselves the crucial questions that will place us on the right path. Instead, we may chose to focus on making money, assuming that everything else will fall into place later. Life doesn't work that way. Too many of us realize later on that money is not the answer and that it does not and cannot fulfill our dreams. We wake up one day feeling empty and wanting much more in our lives than to satisfy daily needs and necessities with the income we earn from a job or life that is meaningless to us.
Unfortunately, the more we focus on our failures and lost dreams, the more difficult it is to actually obtain them. Positive thinking and confidence are absolutely necessary in order to manifest our life's dreams. You must know what you want, but you must also believe you have it within your power to achieve what you want. This is true regardless of whether it involves your professional life or your personal life. The more we focus on our failures, the harder it is to see our dreams clearly and become all we were meant to be.
When you get right down to it manifesting is easy.
*You have to determine what it is your really want in both your professional and personal life.
*Maintain a positive outlook by focusing on your success.
*Act Accordingly- Sitting around and thinking about your future is simple but at some point, you are going to have to actually move in the direction of your goals, which may mean taking a risk.
Thomas Edison understood that achieving your dreams takes work. We must never be satisfied with the status quo, but must always be working and striving to achieve our heart's desires. As Edison said, ‘Show me a thoroughly satisfied man and I will show you a failure.' He lived what he espoused. He understood that life was filled with failure and success, joy and pain and that life is not about complacency and status quo, but about reaching and striving.
