Starting Abundance
Manifesting abundance in our lives is a concept that has grown in popularity recently. Perhaps you are wondering if it is really possible to learn abundance thinking. Or you may think the creative process known as manifesting is a bit of a mystery. But manifesting is really a simple concept. It is about accepting that life has more than enough for everyone. Believing in abundance means that we do not need to just live to survive but that we can have much more. There are no step-by-step guidelines for manifesting and this is both the beauty and the challenge.
If you are new to the concept of manifesting it may help you to think of it as a way of thinking and a way of living rather than a set of techniques to follow as most self-help manuals provide. Manifesting is about finding our way through the maze of these difficult times to take hold of our own lives and goals.
There is no question that life seems unmanageable and overwhelming to many. Our dreams appear to be completely out of reach and hopes have lost their luster. Many people compromise when they choose a path in life. Life is full of choices and we must often make concessions. But, we still must persist and strive to achieve our heart's desires. Thomas Edison was a man who understood the importance of persistence. Had he not kept his focus squarely on achieving his dream of creating light, we might still be seeing my candle light.
Everyone must be realistic and understand we have to live in this modern world. People are required to work hard, follow the rules and pay the bills. Nevertheless, this society has become so fragmented that dreams are hard to keep a hold of. Everyone is expected to have just one area of expertise.
Is it possible to change our thinking?
To understand manifesting is to understand that it is a process. It is a process that begins by asking yourself very honestly, what you want. Looking at your life and circumstances is never easy but by taking it one step at a time it is possible. Are you doing what you want to do with your life? Or are you doing what you think you're supposed to be doing? If the answer is the later, it may be time to make a change.
Life seems chaotic and confusing to so many of us these days. We put our energy every day into all those things we think we have to do, or need to do. We get bogged down in the mundane and lost in the chaos. Before long we are merely surviving as we have forgotten how to live. Manifestation can be the tool you need to pull yourself from the chaos.
Manifestation can help us see things more clearly. In the maze and confusion of modern life we all could use clarification. After all we spend our days going to grocery stores that offer us hundreds of options. It is not a choice between three kinds of cereals, but hundreds. In college we must not only choose from hundreds of majors, we must choose specialties as well. And when we finally get our degree we find ourselves facing more career choices than our brain can filter through.
A common choice that many Americans make when faced with these overwhelming career options, is to just try to make as much money as possible in what they choose to do. They think that if they do that, everything else will take care of itself in time. But it will not and most end up realizing this much later in life after much time has been wasted. Money does not equal fulfillment. It may satisfy your needs for a time, but sooner or later it will leave you feeling empty and looking for something else.
A big part of manifesting are confidence and positive thinking, as they are for many areas of life. Knowing what you want in your mind is not enough; it must be followed by a gut level belief that you can achieve any goal. Personal or professional it does not matter; the idea is to believe you can have whatever you set your mind towards. Would you like to make this easier on yourself? Keep out the negative thought processes, accentuate the positive and completely forget the negative! Concentrating on where you have missed the mark or been defeated is counterproductive to success. In fact, it will cloud your vision until you can no longer see your dreams or goals at all.
The bottom line is manifesting can be simple.
*Decide exactly what you want, personally and professionally.
*Keep a positive perspective and center your attention on your successes.
*Take steps to bring your dreams to reality. Take the risks necessary to make them happen.
Thomas Edison understood that achieving your dreams takes work. We must never be satisfied with the status quo, but must always be working and striving to achieve our heart's desires. As Edison said, ‘Show me a thoroughly satisfied man and I will show you a failure.' He lived what he espoused. He understood that life was filled with failure and success, joy and pain and that life is not about complacency and status quo, but about reaching and striving.
